Welcome Reception with the Sligo Food Trail

At the Welcome Reception on Friday evening members of Sligo Food Trail invite you to taste some of the best natural food in the County: 

That pride and provenance of food in the County of Sligo is paramount comes as no surprise when you consider the natural advantages of this beautiful county, situated as it is on the Wild Atlantic Way. Oysters from Lissadell, Honey from Knocknarea, wild crab and lobster from Mullaghmore grace the canapé tables alongside Sligo Ox Mountain lamb, freshly baked breads and preserves, free range duck eggs, organic garden vegetables and salty duileasc.

Locally crafted beers and funky ferments complete a food profile that is as modern and health conscious as it is traditional, and of which the dedicated food producers in the area are rightly proud; something you are sure to notice when you meet them.
