This performance will feature superb musicians including Joss & Ted Kelly - members of the traditional supergroup Moxie, acclaimed violinist Niamh Crowley, and other wonderful musicians, singers and actors - all of whom will create an unforgettable experience. Michael Rooney himself will feature on harp, June McCormack on flute, Anna Houston on cello, Alex Kelly on concertina, Marie O’Byrne on fiddle - are also key members of this ensemble.

Remembering the Armada 2019 Programme Announced
An exciting and innovative programme for Remembering the Armada 2019 has just been announced. Featuring the wonderful De Cuéllar Suite - a composition written by Michael Rooney and featuring some of the region’s finest traditional and classical musicians - will be a main part of this year’s festival.
In addition, the Armada 8km race will follow the route taken by the Spanish captain Francisco de Cuéllar as he escaped from the Spanish Armada wrecks at Streedagh Beach in 1588.
Remembering the Armada will take place between 20-22 September 2019.
We will also have many of the usual favourites - Armada lectures, the Remembering the Armada parade, and more.
